Artist History
Carrie Melbourne is an internationally recognised player of bass guitar
and Chapman Stick. In the past few years she has toured with artists
such as Babylon Zoo and Tricky, and most recently performed at the
world premiere of Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells III. Carrie's distinctive
voice and stage presence means that she is equally at home in the
studio or in a live setting.
Doug Melbourne is a classically trained keyboard player with a love for
vintage synthesisers and musical experimentation. He has gained
international acclaim for his work within ReGenesis, one of the finest tribute bands in the
world. He has also composed and arranged music for television and is a
keen and sought-after session player on the UK music scene.
Indian Ocean is the first original album Doug and Carrie have written
together, and its release has been critically acclaimed. Melbourne is
the vehicle through which they hope to express their artistic vision
for the forseeable future. With the music world constantly striving for
innovation and cross-genre explorations, Melbourne have a significant
role to play. |
