Artist description
High-powered southern fried, modern rock is what your getting from Florida's premier Rock band. Formed after a spiritual decision was made to carry Rock music into the next century. Driven by the souls in guitars and a desire to touch the heart's ear of all we cross, Gunburner breathes new life into a music industry cluttered with Hip Hop and bubble gum chewin Pop geeks. We bring an appreciation of classic Rock and thoughtful words wrapped in a shiny package of musical fortitude. Our train stops for no one, a fact proven since GB's creation in '96. |

Artist History
Florida is hot, very fu*kin hot, muggy, wet and hot. Gunburner spends a lot of time trying to stay cool, or not so fu@kin hot. This atmosphere tends to yield world class football, women, narcotics, and most importantly Rock music. An organization has yet to study the effects of the climate on those subjects, but we think the heat just makes you prioritize. Relate? Time passes slow here like in many Southern states, yet faster than in most. NY transplants invade the streets of Tampa. That's why we prefer to call home base St. Petersburg. Just across the Bay, St. Petersburg has an extensive history as well, only more influenced by icons of dubious Rock stature. Jim Morrison, Jack Kerouac, and Angel Jack to name a few, have tapped into this area's creative energy. The overwhelming feeling to return to this town filled with halfway houses, drunken street regulars and creative minds, often too busy to accomplish what they are inspired to do because of the romantic lure of Florida's fertile hunting ground (the Gulf of Mexico), has called Gunburner back from many a cross country Rock tour. We've been to California and back several times, but to smell the sweet stench of the water here is like a female in estrous to a Brahman Bull. |
