Artist description Elise Kermani is a BMI composer and media artist, and owner of IshtarLab Recordings, a publisher of experimental music and video (http://ishtarlab.i.am). She is also the Executive Producer of EAPS (Electronic Arts Performance Series) at iEAR Studios based in Troy, NY. Kermani has collaborated as a vocalist with the new music trio "Trousers", with the video group "77Hz" and more recently with the band "The Hem" (with keyboardist Elaine Kaplinsky). She has toured Europe and the United States, received awards for her experimental "body-tech" theatrical compositions and her music has been reviewed in many periodicals including the Village Voice, the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Reader, Option and P-Form. Kermani’s compositions have been used for theater, dance, film and video.
