    Artist History
Formed in 1994 with a view to playing 80's influenced metal,Dreamsfear released their debut mini-CD in 1998.Containing four tracks (28 minutes) of Power/Thrash Metal, the band have, thus far, received very positive press world-wide and will continue promoting this release until their full length CD is recorded.Due to band line-up problems (again) Dreamsfear have spent the last year as a two-piece. Now with their new drummer the have begun to put together some new material. They hope to release a 3 track sampler/EP in May/June 2001 and if everything goes according to plan (for a change) they hope to release a full length album by year end 2001.

    Press Reviews
“Power Metal from the Emerald Isle! This 4-song mini CD is, in my not so humble opinion, one of the BEST straight up Metal releases to come out this year.”WEST SIDE DAVE’S METAL REVIEWS (U.S.A.)“Finally, a new thrash band worth paying attention to.” “These four Irish lads may not be happy chaps, as their sorrowful lyrics indicate, but they know how to write some killer thrash metal music.”KOLLNOT FANZINE (U.S.A.)“This 4 piece band hail from Ireland and this EP is a great start for this promising band that deliver their brand of uncompromising power/melodic metal that shows a great deal of potential and the material crushes!”NECKBREAKER ONLINE REVIEWS (U.S.A)“Leave the image for those who need it; here is good music, pure and simple. A distinct pleasure to review.”HAIR OF THE WOLF NEWSLETTER (U.K.)“They manage to combine the riffs of "Master of Puppets" school, with an epic and musically emotional atmosphere which only the "power" groups may create.”SEVENTH SIGN (Greece)“Definitely a thinking man’s metal band”FIREFIGHT ZINE (U.K.)“On the whole, this debut is a great effort and shows a lot of promise for this young band. I hope to be kicked in the ass by their full-length release soon.”METALZONE (Greece)“Their music is power/thrash with the unique spirit of the 80's. Dreamsfear will definitely find their listeners among power metal fans.”EDGE OF TIME (Lithuania)“ If you like Power Metal this is a fine example with lots of catchy spots and superb musicianship.”ABHFR ZINE (U.S.A.) “These four guys from Ireland are playing a cool mixture of Thrash and Power Metal. Unfortunately there are only four songs on this CD, after listening to it I want more!”FEGEFEUER WEBZINE (Germany)“This is a mini CD, containing four songs, all very original and quite ominous, but well thought and built.”TOMBSTONE WEBZINE (Greece)“Prelude to Destiny is a very good power/thrash metal album. Those interested in either of those two genres should defiantly take note of Dreamsfear”THE METAL REVIEW (U.S.A.)“imagine a mix between the Epic Power Metal and the sadness of the new Doom... aggressive and melodic vocals, great riffs, good production, and, most important, great songwriting 4 songs, but a total playing time of 29 minutes, so it's very close to a full-length album... Dreamsfear killz!”CODE 666 (Italy)“The smoothness of their music really comes into its own, aided in part by some subtle keyboards.” “Sublime poetry, really thoughtful and stirring lyrics that express sadness and heartfelt loss most eloquently.”KFA (U.K.)“Hey labels, someone pick these guys up NOW. I really like these guys”UNCHAIN THE UNDERGROUND (U.S.A.)“A MCD full of catchy and powerful guitar riffs and a brilliant vocalisation of Rob, which manages to blend all the good things in Heavy, Power and even Thrash Metal”ANCIENT CEREMONIES (Portugal)
