Artist description Collective Improvised Music: Anita DeChellis on vocals, Noel Sherr on Soprano Saxophone, and Dan DeChellis on piano, the trio brings together the world of post-serial composition, free improvisation, and ethereal chant. Blue Collar Solitude, finds the group in a number of combinations - - duo’s, solos, and collective forms of space and clarity. When Intangible Index plays as a unit Anita’s soprano circles and guides the often angular line of Sherr’s saxophone, while Dan comments and cajoles with percussive and lyric piano utterances.

Artist History Dan DeChellis - Dan DeChellis is an improvising pianist who has immersed himself in all types of music at one point or another. He has performed in rock bands, traditional jazz settings and in classical recitals. Noel Sherr, born in NY, NY 1973, is an active improviser and composer. He has studied saxophone with Jackie McLean, Ken Radnovsky and Masashi Harada. His composition mentors include: Robert Cogan, David MacBride. He has performed with Anthony Braxton, Feet Music, Dan DeChellis, Phil Tomasic, Masashi Harada and Bhob Rainey. Noel Lives in Boston, MA. Anita DeChellis has performed with various musicians and ensembles throughout her career: Boston Pops, Pittsburgh Opera Company,Dan DeChellis, Philip Tomasic, Noel Sherr, Seija Ozawa, tangelwood Festival Chorus. She hols two degrees in Classical Voice and has a love of Contemporary Vocal Literature. She has most recently become involved in the music of her husband, Improvisation. Her education and exposure to contemporary composers: Crumb, Harbison, Cowell, Cage, has allowed her to develope a style all her own.
