Artist History
Internationally renowned Keyboardist/Vocalist/Songwriter Dean Krippaehne has been living and playing jazz in the Seattle area since the mid eighties. Recently, Dean's song "My mind can't keep its hands off you" was selected for inclusion in the MP3.COM CD "THE BEST SONGS YOU NEVER HEARD." It is also featured on the REALJUKEBOX CD and the FREEI CD software package. (The three projects total over 1 million copies distributed.) His song "But for the love of you" was included in mp3.com's recent CD - GET YOUR GROOVE ON, THE SEXIEST SONGS ON MP3. In 1997, Dean released the critically acclaimed “The pH7 project” (Acid jazz) with Erik Hall on the MDR Records label (SEE: mp3.com/ph7/). Dean's collaborations with MP3.com artists Phil Traynor and Enerjazz have both yielded #1 hits with the songs "One for mom" and "Dilbert is a documentary". In his young career, Dean has recorded and shared the stage with some of the finest artists in jazz, blues, rock, R 'n' B, country, Gospel, etc... including: Dee Daniels, Jay Thomas, Milo Peterson, Ethel Ennis, David Lanz, Darren Motamedy, Dave Heath, Erik Hall, Ted Bellusci, Pamala Moore, Woody Carr, Quickie, Marilee Rush, Enerjazz, Phil Traynor, Scott Krippayne, Gracies Cafe Band, Bill Pickup, Stan Fletcher, Basix, Rescue, The Dirty Cartoons, Mojo Circus, etc... Since the internet music explosion of the late 90's Dean's jazz has topped the charts at: MP3.com, Downbeat.com, Riffage.com, Amazon.com, PeopleSound.com, SoundClick.com, Javamusic.com, Now.com (MP3TV), Vitaminic.com, BeSonic.com, 1Sound.com, and PlayHear.com. Dean's Jazz has also been heard on JazzPromo.com, IUMA.com and RollingStone.com. Dean's music has also appeared on numerous radio and TV jingles and soundtracks including: Dahnken Stores, Toyota, James Jeans, The Mac Show live, Cascade Airways, Alpental, B&O Tires, AMC, Universal Frontiers with Wayne Root, Numerology with Stella Stevens, Key Images Modeling Soundtrack etc... blah, blah, blah. |
