Artist History
In the early 90s, a Rutgers University radio promotion writer (with his invisible friend) and a cartoonist joined their creative forces in a musical project. It included acoustic guitar, percussion on toy drums, cookie tins and an old Frisbee. They were soon joined by bass and lead guitar. Several recordings later, many "Fred Heds" walk the earth. |

Press Reviews
"A Halo Called Fred...the best guitar, bass and Tupperware trio to come out of New Jersey" -- Rolling Stone "Rarely has a record been so offbeat, so purposely railing against the standards of pop music and so damn good.... Brilliant." -- Smug Magazine "A rag-tag, foul-mouthed, over-educated, under-stimulated, lawsuit-courting bunch of no-account clowns determined to skiffle and batter their way into your black-nail-polished heart. Thank you, God!" -- Alternative Press |
