Artist History
On a rainy day in 1996 a group of four kids fromSt. Petersburg, Florida gathered together in a cold and cramped room to begin what would eventually be known as Third Place. These four were: Frank Craft on bass, Chris Fuller on guitar,Morgan Leiby on vocals, and Chance Hoffman on drums. Our songs came from years of nothing. Alcohol, loneliness, and out-of-tune guitar strings became the primary elements in our lives. In 1998 longtime friend and guitarist Jon Webster joined up and we began the process of playing local parties in order to prepare ourselves for the next step, which would be playing to small crowds in local bars. The years that followed found us bouncing between bedrooms and garages in different homes every weekend. We thought we found a semi-permanent place to play when we started jamming in Jon's garage, but St. Petersburg's finest put an end to that after about a year. So it goes.In 2000 we found in drummer Ryan Daniel not only someone who could rage on a drum kit like no one we had ever seen before, but someone who was very much like us. He fit perfectly into something we all poured years and tears into. And that's our current lineup. We began playing our instruments as a means to get our band going. As a result we have learned and developed as a group, and hopefully this lends a uniqueness to our music. What started as an outlet for for observation about life, loss, and loneliness has become a solid five piece punk rock band. Growing up and fading out changed from that which was tearing us apart to the that which inspired us. Stay tuned as we begin our invasion of the underground music scene... |
