Artist description
"A 5-piece alternative rock and soul band from the city that brought you Bootsy Collins, The Afghan Whigs, and King Records. Please visit The STICH Band's webpage (click on picture to the right) for more info. To make a sentence-long description of STICH, is to oversimplify and short change a band that can't be pigeonholed and is well worth checking out." - Eric Mauch, Dayton OH, 2000 |

Artist History
Formed in Cincinnati in 1992, THE STICH BAND did not waste any time taking to the stage and the recording studio, By 1995, the public had caught on, not only in their hometown, but through out the Midwest. In late 1995, after a succesful EP and two singles, STICH released The Vehicle thus earning the group critical acclaim from the press,as well as more frequent airplay. It was time to move. On the back of heightned interest, STICH set out on a series of U.S. tours, and by 1997, another record was in the can. Spacefront property, the first real full length album by the band, if you ask them, is the their master work to date. Now, after considerable downtime, a new release is on the horizon and everyone appears to have regained their health and sanity after a long ride that included a lot of rock, a lot of truckstops, and some insane studio sessions - and best of all, we have the music to prove it to you. |
