Artist History
SUMAC was formed in Washington D.C. by Andy Rezendez, Albert Cevallos, and David Delcher from the ashes of a few small bands in 1997. For a year they struggled through a handful of physical illnesses, broken bones and a prison term in Kosovo. Satisfaction eluded the group until the fall of 1988 when Matt Patner completed the line up with his bass skilss. SInce this addition, SUMAC has evolved into a well-oiled song writing machine, while adding kidney stones and a hernia to our medical list. The members of SUMAC have extensive live experience in a variety of regional venues. We continue to recruit fans through our adept use of hyptnotism, which means if you book us or write about us we will bring a load of people to buy your beer or read your media. |
