Artist History
Five a.m. was formed in 1998 and all five members live in the San Francisco area. The band worked itself up from small club act to opening for major acts such as Train and Guster. We are currently working with Bruce Kaphan of "American Music Club" fame on our next c.d. due out this summer. Five a.m. has played all over the Bay Area, including The Inn of the Beginning, Red Devil Lounge, Hotel Utah, Doc Ricketts, The Mystic Theater, Mick's Lounge, Club Boomerang, Bear Republic Brewing Company, Blu Fin, Balboa Cafe, Masses, The Old Vic, Humboldt Brewing Co., Cafe Tomo, Sonoma State University and Sonoma County's Human Race and First Night Festivals. We have gigged in San Francisco, Marin County, Berkeley and the East Bay, Humboldt County, Tahoe, Arizona, Oregon, Washington and Utah playing at the Sundance Film Festival. |

Five a.m. was voted by the Independent's reader's poll as one of the best bands in the North Bay, won the North Bay's "Miller Genuine Draft Battle of the Bands". The Press Democrat featured Five a.m. as one of six notable bands in the San Francisco area-- We have opened for bands such as Train, Guster, Six Pence None the Richer, Box Set and The Young Dubliners. |
