Artist History
The band all got started way back in 1985 when founding studs "bashful" Bob Noxious and Steve Collins used to get together and have a few cold 50's and jam down in a friends basement(the name of which will be witheld here but if you buy the c.d. you get to find out who's basement). The studs have had many lineup changes over the years and many, many many drummers were fired. The lineup for now(don't hold you're breath)seems to be stable?Stay tunned......In the late 1980's the studs mainly played around at a very favourite local bar known to most Montrealers as station ten named after the old police station. When the "ten" closed the studs were without a home. They wandered about aimlessly with no purpose until one day they found the Maz bar in N.D.G. and bagan a series of seasonal jambories intended to raise money for the local food bank. The multi-band jambories were largely successfull and a good drunk was had by all.By the mid 1990's the studs decided to get "serious"and try murdering thier songs in a recording studio. The project was held up by a series of calamities including a devastating fire that destroyed the bands equipement and numerous problems with the law as well as flagrant financial blunders(we drank the money!).One of the last gigs was a big holloween party at some hotel near the olympic stadium in 1997.What a party!Lots of strippers. |
