Artist History
Second Childhood was formed in March of 2000, under the name Product. 4 individual musicians, influenced by many of the same interests and goals, came together to form a band with a new sound. Fed up with all the Limp Bizkit-wannabes, and Korn-soundalikes, Second Childhood brought upon their own take on the music scene in Nashville, Tennessee. Brian Morjal(vocals), Johnnie Mitchell(guitars), Ron Knight(bass), bring a different element to the table - a combination of hardcore, melodic-goth, groove-metal, tastes of thrash punk, and even some signs of death metal round out the sound of this young, up-and-coming, aggressive metal band.Second Childhood has been gigging around the Nashville scene for almost 9 some-odd-months now, playing shows with FSN, Embodiment, the Desposed, End of Existence, Piranha, and many others. Earning 3 awards from the Next Generation Performance Hall, including the Lookout! award(tomorrow's Nashville headliner), as well as Best EP to Drink Beer to. Brian(19), Johnnie(16), Ron(18), and Dillon(17) have their sights set right, not like your average "nu-metal" band these days just playing in a band to follow the trend, waiting for their chance to be on TRL. Instead, Second Childhood sets their goals for simple purposes: to make music that makes people want to kill eachother. Any true-metal fan would be an idiot not to check this shit out! |
