Prairiedog: 1972: Born, July 24. Stillwater, OK 1980: Quits Piano lessons because teacher attempts to make him play correctly. 1985: Borrows an AC/DC and Jimi Hendrix Album--listens with low volume in bedroom fearing parent's wrath. 1989: buys first guitar. 1992: Starts first Group: "Certified Fools" 1995: Records first CD in studio with the Certified Fools, "Melvin Moody" is stunning hit among Stillwater OK dive bar elite. 1996: Returning to Stillwater after a stint in Tulsee Town, P-dog studios is born via used 4-track purchase. 1998: Heads for Philadelphia, PA. releases two albums: "The Philadelphia Experiment" and "Round II". 1999: Finishes Philadelphia recording stint with completion of "Media's Last Days" featuring the atonal "Mr. Taxiphone" and an interactive pursuit of hurricane phenomenon on "Ode to Floyd".1999: Moves to New York City. 2000: Records in Bad Homburg, Germany and Baltimore, MD via mobile P-dog Studios. 2001: Releases quasi compilation album, "Songs From the Prairie". Forms band "prankstar" with fellow musicians, Adam Headrick, Mick Tuminello, and Dave French. 2002: Releases "A Vertitable Urban Vermin." Begins work on Prankstar's first album--plays weekly in NYC basements and bars. |
