Artist description Here I sit, day in day out, staring at the computer screen with the same pieces of music seeping from the speakers. This is what it is all about. Initially the song ideas are written using a guitar or my piano. Then over a long period of time the ideas are turned into the music that you can hear on the CD. Although there are some ‘real’ instruments, the majority of the backing to my voice is created using a synthesiser. Each part has to be recorded, altered and tweaked until it fits in with the other parts. It is all great fun.

Artist History On the fourteenth of October 1995 I wrote my very first song, ‘Bothered’, which you can find as a bonus track on the CD. At the time I was at university singing for a band called ‘The Coopers’. Over the course of a few years I wrote several songs with my fellow band members, Jools and Gian, though we played no gigs, probably because I was singing!After university I continued to write songs at the piano for my own enjoyment, including many that will thankfully never be heard by anyone else.In October 1999 I decided that to celebrate four years of song writing I would pick out my favourites and produce an album. The songs ‘Walking Away’, ‘More Fool You’ and ‘Sleep’ were all written in the last months of the year to round off the album which I titled ‘A Likely Story’. As for my future plans I cannot say. Hopefully I will continue to write songs and put together another CD and who knows, maybe it won’t take another four years.

Group Members Although I these are all solo items and I do not have other members to make a band, I must thank all of those who helped me and encouraged me to get to this point. My wife, Marie, has been invaluable and has even managed to convince me that she actually likes my music! My five month old son, David, has become a great source of inspiration and spent long hours putting up with sitting on my knee listening to the songs as I prepared them for the album. My parents take the time to listen to me going on about my ideas, which is sometimes all that is needed. Gian, Jools, Mark, Marcus, Mike, Rob, Stuart and Leafy - you know who you are and I am grateful for all your input and time. And to all those who bought my album, I thank you. Did you sit through the whole thing???
