YourSound.com Review by Steve Prygoda
This eclectic lineup was courtesy of Morrighan Productions, who take up shop on a semi -regular basis at the Out of the Blue Gallery in Cambridge while focusing their energies on the under-appreciated art of spoken word.
Kelley went over big with the majority of Linwood regulars. She read expressively and candidly, pulling no punches and even leaving a few bruises on the proverbial flesh. I imagine she's a PJ Harvey fan as her short stories possessed the same bare-bones honesty as Ms. Harvey's lyrics. A tousle of long wild hair and leather pants made her fit right in with the rock crowd, too; no sniveling, waif-like, wallflower poetry here: Nola rocked.
Review from The Noise
Nola Kelly of Morrighan Productions also reads. Her spoken word is a good
segue to the music portion of the night as she is accompanied by a friend
playing somber notes on the bass while she reads her gothic poetry.
