Artist History
i fell in love with acid house when i heard Phuture's "Acid Trax" in early 1988. well, truth be known, i believe the first track i heard that really moved me in that same way was Blancmange's "On Our Way To ?" which was released as a b-side back in 1982 i think. anyway, since then, and since i was already twiddling knobs on my Pro-One even before the term 'knob-twiddler' existed, i've been making my own sounds. hope you enjoy them. |

Press Reviews
in The Crass Menagerie Issue #75 (The Crass Menagerie Homepage) http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Gala/6912/ MERCATOR Ad-interim CD Review by: Tim Foster Ambient Techno that kicks ass. Intelligent and sophisticated, yetaccessible to even unseasoned listeners, and most importantly musically brilliant, "Ad-interim" runs the gamut of all that is Tecno. Throbbing beats and gyrating bass lines make you want to get up and shake your money maker on one track, then on the next track a relaxed rhythm and ethereal melody riffs will have you staring at the ceiling, lost in your own thoughts. Then it's back to boogie- time! Anybody even remotely interested in Ambient Techno will thank me after they check out the genius of MERCATOR. And there's no way you'll find this in record stores, so do yourself a favor and write to the address below, okay? (address originally followed) |
