Artist History
Formed in the dorms of UC Santa Barbara in 1988, Los Guys took off as a musical act in 1990. After becoming hometown standards in Santa Barbara, Los Guys released their first album, "Silly/America" in 1992. The tape sold over 1000 units, and launched a western colleges tour in 1992-1993. In 1992 they put out "We're Getting Nowhere on Our Looks... And FAST!". This release also sold about 1000 units, mostly on the strength of word of mouth and sales at shows. Los Guys did a tour of China in 1993 and upon return Jeremy moved to the Pacific Northwest. While reunion gigs have been rare, the Guys are working on a method of long-distance collaboration that will produce new material for the new Millenium. |
