Artist History Hailing from Raleigh, North Carolina, Known In Part has been playing together since the summer of 2000. As all four members come from differing musical backgrounds, this group has been able to mold a sound uniquely their own. Performing an exhilarating blend of punk, rock, and hardcore, the band moves from fast and aggressive to melodic and back again during their set. From the very beginning, Known In Part became known for having exciting live shows; there is never a dull moment while these guys are on stage. The dedication this group has for their music shows not only live, but in recordings as well. Since forming, Known In Part has self-released three albums with the latest effort things to do before i die coming out in spring of 2002. Having already toured the east coast and northeastern U.S., Known In Part is poised to hit the road again in late '02 and '03. Big things can be expected of Known In Part, so keep your eyes and ears open.

Press Reviews Known in Part play melodic poppy-hardcore in the vein of such bands as The Movielife and Thrice. They do a really good job of it too. The cd is 6 songs long, my favorite of which is probably track 2, 'Cycle is Broken'. The songs are well written, lyrics intelligent, and the cd is well produced. There is alot of energy here, the music is danceable, and its fun to sing along to it. I particularly like the youth-crew style stuff that pops up every now and again...
