Artist description
In the vein of Built to Spill, Jimmy Eat World, and Catherine Wheel, WesDando (pr. Dawn-doe) offers a brand of indie guitar-rock/pop that is rooted in dynamics and melody, while at the same time displaying emotional sensibility and thought provoking lyrics. "Shimmering bridges, strong progressions, intricate breakdowns, careful song writing, and great vocals[are] their keys to success," writes Earl Campbell for Bandoppler Radio. |

Artist History
The band was formed in September 1998, and for almost 2 years was a 4-piece outfit. In May of 2000, however, lead guitarist Jason Ingersoll played his last show with the band, and Wes Dando became the trio they are today. Wes Dando have enjoyed playing around Seattle and its outlying areas, sharing the stage with such acts as Pedro the Lion, Peter Parker, Dolour, Tales from the Birdbath, and Aaron Sprinkle to name a few.The band's first record entitled "The Tired Hours", was independently released in January 2001 on Fracaso Music. Wes Dando have received airplay on Seattle's 107.7 FM The End, and 90.3 KEXP, in addition to being featured on indie compilation CD's for the Atomic Federation, Autumn Fall Records, and Royal Star Music. They are now back in the studio with Aaron Sprinkle again, making preparations for and recording their next album. |

Press Reviews
A rather old review from PANDOMag.com (Erick is lazy about updating this section):--Wes Dando - Wes Dando's debut album, "The Tired Hours," is the inevitable result of young, talented musicians coming of age in our current Pacific Northwest. The hallmark mnemonics are all here: Built to Spill, Death Cab, Pedro, etc. Wes Dando craft plaintive, heartfelt guitar rock with honest, prosaic lyrics like "I remember the devotion of my youth / how like a child I loved you / Sweet was your breath calling out my name / What have I done to you?" Although at times I'd like nothing more than to hear these tightly constructed songs fray a bit at the edges, that is a personal preference, and there's always a chance that something unexpected will happen whenever they play.
