Artist description
Natives to Minneapolis, Minnesota, the Underthings have conspired to subvert vulnerable minds into loving simple barebones rock music! Dawn and BJ came together after breaking off from their previous bands: Sherman Electric and Trampoline. With the addition of Mike, an awesome drummer, they began working out their originals in May 2000. The flavor of their music currently ranges from slow, lounge- country ballads to loud, jump- around anthems. Our trio of superheroes are smack- dab- in- the- middle of recording their second CD "Watch Your Step", scheduled to be relesed sometime in the Autumn of 2003. Proving that they are suffering from an attention deficit, they are also writing new songs for the next cd, scheduled to be released, er, sometime after the first one. They are also experimenting with time travel, figuring out if cd #1 will EVER get done, and writing songs for cd #3. |

Artist History
BJ and Dawn met while playing a gig together with their old bands at the Terminal Bar in historic NE Mpls. They share a love for indie bands, writing songs, and playing gigs. Falling out with the old bands was just the opportunity they needed to begin this project. Mike, along with BJ, has an uncanny ability to play any song he ever loved just by remembering it's melody, something to be admired or maybe to be exploited someday...
