Press Reviews
"There are dozens of Celtic bands. Some are good, some are so-so,and some should stay home. And then once in a while an outstanding ensemble comes into sight. Such a goodie is StoneRing,(formerly called The Standing Stones), and their new CD "A Toast to the Company". Keeping alive the best of Irish and Scottish ballads, dance tunes, and rousing songs. A-1" Jack Burke Georgia Post/Music Critic Sept. 26,1998 "Thanks for energizing our Music Celebration. You and your guys were great!" Judy Meyerdyrkes Curator, Stonefield Village Cassville, WI Aug. 1998 "A robust outfit of considerable talent!" Dave Tianan Milwaukee Journal Sentinel/ Music Critic Oct 18, 1998 "My favorite Celtic band in Wisconsin." Dick Tierney, Entertainment Director Milwaukee Irish Cultural and Heritage Center Aug. 1998 "Thanks for our first sell out. You guys were great!" Laura Eammon WXPR Program Director Nicolet College Concert Series Feb. 1999 "Attended your performance at Nicolet College in Rhinelander on the night of Jan. 9th. The concert was stupendous, stunning. From the jigs and reels to the beautiful ballads, we didn't want it to end. You all worked so hard; and consequently, I think that people are shy to express themselves after such a concert, thinking you're probably exhausted. But I suppose one's never too tired to hear some praise. Thanks for coming north!" Patty Rasmussen Concertgoer/Convert Jan. 11 1999 "We have added a second night to the "Taste of Scotland" thanks to you guys. You're going places." Ron Coutts, Organizer/Promoter April 1999 "You guys were wonderful. You made me want to go back to Ireland, again." Sharon Neland Monona Terrace Entertainment Director Sept. 199 |
