Artist History
TEAR was formed in August 1999 by a group of guysthat grew up together and formed different bands with different styles that didn't seem to work. After several years, a few of the members ran into each other and they had an idea for a sound. With the songwriting abilities of Ed White together with the different musical feel of Scott Comeau,Tear was born. The band came together with BassistZeus, whom Ed played a song he wrote for over thephone 1200 miles away. Zeus was on the road tobe a part of this unique sounding band the following day. Their search for a Drummer ended with Pete "the beat" who is the backbone of the machine and Andy on keyboards (who left Berkley school of music in Boston to round out this intense sound)The band played thier demo to a reluctant Amy, who at the time worked for a localradio station. She was sold immediately and was onboard to fill out the sound with her backing vocals. The band has gained a big recognition inthe local community and with their self titled debut CD soon to be released. Tear is ready to take on the music world. So hop on board and come along for the ride. |

The band has some of the best originalmusic you will hear." The band was named the winner of the "Channel 103.1 Capital Area BattleOf The Bands" in March 1999, a 16 week event featuring four band per week in a single elimination tournament. |
