Artist History RaviKiran and Rikhy Ray are long time friends and live just across the street in Thiruvanmiyur part of Madras just by the sea. The unique place is famous for many Yogis, Saints who lived and live there and one of Indias most famous music Academies- Kalakshetra.Finally they got together to record and in 1997 this recording was done reflecting so strongly the mystical atmosphere of the place, friendship of the musicians and their special skills.

Group Members Ravi Kiran is one of the most accomplished instrumentalists of India,learned music from his father and already as a kid surprised all memebers of Madras Music Academy being able to recognise (with names) over 400 scales.Started performing when was 6 year old and in his twenties was already considered senior artist.Rikhy Ray (see at mp3.com/rikhyray) represents music of North India, student of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, was primarly Classical artist when in 1987 stared fusion group "Mangalam". in 1989 John cLaughlin gave him his Shakti guitars, working with these instrument he developed together with Ovation, new-old Instrument-Vajra Vina that combines the best of Indian tradition and Western technology.
