Artist History
It all started in the March of 1964… Jesse (bass) and Mason (guitar) were half of a Backstreet Boys cover band that had just broken up. They soon stumbled upon Matt (vocals, guitar), a porn star going by the name of Homey Tyler who thought he would dabble in songwriting. The three joined together to create music, since they all had eleven toes. 72.8 years later, the trio discovered Eric (drums), The Presidents of the United States of America's touring keyboardist who left the band for his love of ducks. He didn’t have eleven toes, but he did have a car made out of spam, that could easily carry amps, guitars, and a drumkit—as well as provide a light snack. The band took the name Stereo Sonic, derived from a dream that Matt had, in which Craig Finn of Lifter Puller arrived on a flaming pie. “For now on you shall be called The Passing Gasses,” said Craig Finn. Matt replied “Screw that, we’ll be Stereo Sonic!” |
