Artist History
It all started in the early days of 1991 when the
present schoolmates C. Lundström, F. Åhfeldt, S.
Hansen and A. Wallroth formed a band called "The
model auxiliaries". They all had one thing in
common, fans of electric synth music performed in
different ways. The band did some funny covers of
Pouppée Fabrikk, Cat rapes dog but also of Depeche
Mode and De/vision. Back then they played
everything live on the syntherziesers and drumpads.
T.m.a started little by little to arrange own
songs with an Amiga computer, using a program called
"soundtracker". The Amiga played the drums and the
bass-sounds on top of it the synths were played live
by the members, at this point they only made
synthpop and Christoffer did all the singing.
After a while they exchanged the Amiga for an
Atari 1040 ST and the band bought their own synth
Roland D5. They moved around the synths and played
in their parents houses. They had a new name
"Presence of mind". A moment after the purchase of
a sampler,Casio FZ-1. They released their first
compilationcd-track "Think & pretend" on the
record ElectricSunset (Powerspot records)
A few months later the second compilationcd came
called "Circuit one"(Eternity records) with two
other songs by p.o.m "Lost love" and "Dead end
street". They also got some other offers but
turned them down decided to break the evil circle
of compilationcd's.But after one year they decided
to take part of a tribute cd to Mr. Vince Clarke
"It never happens to me" and the "fanzinecd"
"Geigersounds 1". In 1997 the band took a break
because of practical reseons. Christoffer moved to
Jersey where he worked as an electrician.Christoffer
has now diceded to return to Sweden and the band has
begun producing new material mainly based on
instumental songs made by Hannes and Anders.
Whlile waiting for Chistoffer to come back to
Sweden, Anders and Hannes has not only made new
songs but also learned and developed new skills in
modern musicprograms like Cubase VST and has also
bought some new equipment. They future sound will
probobly become hevier and more modern beat-orientated
and may even feature som electric guitars played
by ex. Kaliber-member Tommy Lilja. As a celebration
to the new start p.o.m contibuted with one of their
most popular songs, "Reflection of me"(1996), on the
compilation-CD "monument 6" released by powerspot/
memento materia in may 2000.
When Christoffer visited Sweden last winter p.o.m
recorded lyrics written by Christoffer for songs
made by Hannes and Anders. They also recorded songs
which Christoffer had written back on Jersey on
an accustic guitar. These songs are now "under
constuction" as Hannes and Anders are remixing
them to fit the "presence of mind-sound".
Presence of mind live: P.o.m have got a lot of
good credits for their liveperformancees even by
"anticomputermusicians" who thought the show was
"alive" despite aprogrammed backgrounds. At home
(Elvärket,Mariestad) they played in front of 400
people who thought the show was terrific.
They have also played in a lot of other cities in
Sweden. Back in 1997 they performed with Elegant
Machinery, as their supportact. This consert took
place in Lidköping.

Group Members
Christoffer Lundström.
The leadsinger and the song/lyricwriter in the band.
He also used to sing in a heavier "rockband´s"
called "Headblow" and "Kaliber". When "Headblow"
released their first demo, EMI (the gigantic

voice. Christoffer writes the music aswell and
listens to heavier industriall bands like:
Nine inch nails, Filter and Download.
Anders Wallroth.
His maintasks in the band is the technical part
and to arrange and develop the other members ideas,
but he also compose his own songs. He is an
educated soundengineer and, together with Hannes,
thay have a good knowledge about the swedish and
european synthpopscene, as the two of them share
the same taste in music. Anders is also the
contactperson to contact about gigs,records,demos
and that sort of things.
Hannes Ambros
He is the "main keyboardist" as well as songwriter
of the band . He´s been playing the piano for
several yaers and has a good ear for melodies.
