Press Reviews
Drum Media - 11 August 11, 1998Drum Singles Review - Ross ClellandKdC5 Tales of GrooveIndependent ReleaseLOCAL boy, with the title almost self explanatory. Late night funky grooves of laid back nature, and we?re possibly thinking of Jackie Orzasky, without the accent. The voice is more than serviceable, and he?s got the chorus motive hook stuff going well, from the opening on On The Rack. And while K for Kearon has the nous and abilities to play all the instruments at various points, he also has the taste and discernment to bring in Craig (Brothers of Oz) Calhoun to put down the bubbling bass lines that give this life..There might even be more going on, a keyboard solo on Your Next Love suggesting an embrace of technology. |
