Artist description
The ALS' Grooves Project is the Songwriting/Production subsidiary of Ill River Muzic. For all of the grammar police out there, the apostrophe in the title is not misplaced. ALS' Grooves refers to the songs, melodies, and rhythms created by two very talented musicians named Al; Alex 'Coz Boogie' Gopoian and Alexander 'Mo' Betta Al' Auld along with the incomparable Engineer and Beatmeister Thomas 'Folex' Foley. |

Artist History
The roots of ALS' Grooves goes back as far as the formation of the hip-hop band Justice System and days prior. Many of those who are familiar with Justice System know Coz as the bassist holding down the bottom and Mo' Betta as the saxophonist adding a melodic jazz twist to the band's sound. Over the years, Justice System has consistently been applauded for its strong, intelligent, and original musical content. Many of the band's musical ideas spawned from the minds of Coz and Mo' Betta, two individuals who have a wide variety of playing experiences and musical tastes between them. But some of the ideas that were being generated by these two musicians did not always neatly fit into the realm of what Justice System was all about. |
