Artist History
Lucas joined Bernie Pearl's band in 1980 on harmonica backing blues greatsBig Joe Turner, Etta James, George Smith, Pee Wee Crayton, Percy Mayfield,Eddie Cleanhead Vinson, and Lowell Fulson. In '86 he formed Luke & TheLocomotives, toured, recorded and by 1995 had released five albums withover 50 original songs. Robert joined Canned Heat as frontman in '95further expanding his work into wider public and profesional circles,particularly on the European circuits. In 2000 Robert Lucas left CannedHeat to spend time at home with his son, and begin writing new songs forhis next album. |
