Artist History Distraught was formed in the Spring of 1999. After trying out a few guitar and bass players for five months, Pathetic Element formed its current line-up. Originally called Level, the band performed at many small venues in the South Texas. After discovering another band named Level in the North Texas area, the band changed their name to Distraught. But due to the recent discovery of another band called Distraught, the band will now be known as Pathetic Element.
