Artist History
Formed in 1998, but currently comprised of Erick Caceres (drums), Dan Rapoport (bass), Mike Merino (guitar), and Matt Grant (vocals), Careworn was orignally an outlet for the metal needs of three teenagers. Over the past year, Careworn has rapidly matured and has incorperated a wider scope of influences fuel the passion that drives this band. With influences ranging from Hatebreed to Meshuggah, the band has moved from a thrashier sound to a much more straightforward/hardcore metal sound that is a direct reflection to the intensity of their love for the music. |

Press Reviews
"The first band to take to the Danville Grange Hall was the refocused, modified sound of Careworn as in the past month or so they have departed with guitarist Vafa Mottahedin and retooled their sound with their existing musicians. The result is a streamlined, stripped down, more hardcore oriented sound that takes to the straight ahead metal sound with convinction. Careworn, which features guitarist Mike Merino, bassist Dan Rapoport, drummer Erick Caceres and vocalist Matt Grant, brought mostly newer tunes to the audience with the exception of a few covers and a smattering of older Careworn tunes." --Mario Perotti of Powerslave.com |
