Artist History
In the early 90's, Black Child Jones initiated his professional career by simply breathing his creative lyrical abilities creating a three-song demo tape that caught the attention of various veterans Hip-Hop artist including Rap-A-Lot recording artist Royal Flush. Black Child Jones became friends with Royal Flush(Ukefe Uye), a member of the aforementioned group. Big Mon, took Black Child Jones under his wings and provided him with mounds of useful information about the music industry. Ultimately, Black Child Jones began his own studio with a partner in 1993,Strong Vibe Studio. From this point forward, Black Child Jones focused on making songs that were anything but conventional. In late 1995, Black Child Jones gave birth to the "Unorthodox" concept of Hip-Hop. This concept of Hip-Hop led to Black Child Jones and Flava-Flav (of Public Enemy) meeting at a Houston nightclub in 1996. Flava Flav immediately sent Black Child Jones to X-BAM Records, Inc. At X-BAM Records, Inc., Black Child Jones was in the processof signing as an artist, when the company owners decided to dissolve their partnership. Black Child Jones stayed in contact with one of the partners, and subsequently was signed as one of the first artist on The Music District, Inc. label. Considered by many of hard-core Rap aficionados, also as one of Rap's best kept secrets. Black Child Jones astounds crowds with energy filled lyrics and hard-core metaphors. The use of metaphors and other literary devices is no stranger to Black Child Jones. He lives his life as a Black Super Man. He instructs English at Texas Southern University by day, and rocks the mic by night. All of his shows, describe the perfect blend of intellect, street and mystic that exudes from Underground Rap's most anticipated artist since Biggie. The release date of his debut album is coming in Spring 2001. Black Child Jones is presently the Executive Editor of Platinum Magazine, one of the hottest Hip-Hop Magazines to hit the stands.
