Artist description Ah, yes, the formation of the band. Now, to make it short, itwas formed during a highly alcoholic saturday night party whenwe were on our way to the Gate, a Metal pub/disco (quite a goodone, surely), and before going to mosh, we stopped short at- what has now reached cult-status for us - the persianrestaurant HAFEZ!!Drunk as we were - oh yes, we were very drunk! - we orderedsome beer (of course!) and got some kind of bread by thefriendly, always smiling waiter for free! Yeah, well, wethen tried to read the cryptic menu (haha, no Sanitys Dawnreference here! *gg*) and made jokes about the funny persiannames, like Khoreschte Baghala Gatogh with Fish! (by the way,"...with Fish!" has become sort of running gag frequently used,on concerts and privately). Well, then we found a wine called"Bio Rot" - and that was it!!!Mr. Greene said...um...tried to say to me: "Lets make a bandcalled BIOROT!" and Lord Soth answered: "Yes!". So, BioRot was born!We (Mr.Greene, vox/drummms & Lord Soth, vox/guitarrrs) bothhad some experience inside the metal scene (Mr.Greene being memberof death metal local heroes GUT ABSORBER, and Lord Soth was the co-founderof the Death metal underground fanzine CARNAGE).So, that was the easy part. Now, we needed to get songtitles.And that again was something which came surprisingly easy, ifsometimes quite unaware, as most titles/texts are and were bornout of... well, call it alcoholic influence...*g*But, hey no problem! We just combined fun and work (haha!) andafter some weeks, we already had a number of more or less titlesand text(fragments). Most were made drunk on the street, insidethe Gate disco, on the toilet, while peeing against a taxi (no joke!),and numerous other occasions, like while trying to write this text!By now, we're already working on our second yet untitled demo...Some examples of songtitles (most in german):KommasägeExtremitos GrindcoriosChilenische Schweinemasturbation (Chilenian Pig Masturbation)Die, die - Bio'RotI Cum BeerSmash the AnusBrutal attack from beyond... and others (see our homepage)Most lyrics center around nonsense, alcohol, war, splattermovies,beer (oh, we had that one...), and fun/party. They are createdspontaneously, first the title - then the text - then the music atlast.We hope that we can record our first demo "H.a.f.e.z." at the GZO,the rehearsal room of a band we're friends with (DYING HARMONY).In fact Bio´Rot never played live yet, but we got 2 possibilities to do it soon. The first offer is to play on the "2nd Arsch Holio" - Open air here in Germany next year. The other was offered by a owner of a small but popular pub in Osterholz-Scharmbeck (near Bremen).Generally spoken, the extreme metal scene in and around Bremen isokay, there are many good bands (ANTAGONIST, EYE SEA...) and themetalheads are there.
