Artist description Marte (pronounced MAR-TAY) Riley’s songs invite you to listen in on her close relationships with her Father God and her family. She utilizes a fusion of musical influences, which include folk, jazz, Brazilian, classical and Indian, to depict the risks and rewards of building intimacy and trust. Raised in Ohio in a musical family, Marte Riley initially played classical violin. She later added guitar, classical voice, songwriting, flute and bass. Marte currently resides in Redlands, California with her husband, James, and their three children.
