Artist History x-bestfriend was born in the late summer of 2000. Their hard work combined with a love for what they do has allowed them to take giant steps toward becoming one of Vegas' top musical acts. They have fun playing and it shows in their performance. Their music has been described as a pop/radio punk; blending the heavy crunch of guitar with sing-a-long harmonies and catchy music. Two members of x-bestfriend Robby Becker (bass) and Sean Michaels (guitar) were originally in a group called "On The Don't," but after the group split up in early 2000, the future of the band was put on hold. Robby went to Mexico to write songs while Sean continued to write here in Vegas, but it was just the two of them, until one day in June. Robby and Sean were in a local music store and they stumbled upon Don Faoro hitting the electronic drums very hard and struggling to keep time. Sean and Robby were so impressed with Don's lack of skill, that they asked him if he wanted to try out for their band. Without knowing what he was getting into Don agreed and x-bestfriend was born. Since then, xbf has been featured on 107.5 X-TREME radio and on a number of internet radio stations with groups like The Ataris and A New Found Glory. Their influences include Unwritten Law, 3rd Eye Blind, MxPx, and Goldfinger. And Sean really likes Bryan Adams. With their wide variety of musical influences, xbf has a sound all their own. Their energetic live shows are all about having fun and including the fans in on all of it. So check them out when they hit up a venue near you!
