Artist History
The Raiders came together in Leeds, England in 1960. Initially playing Ventures / Shadows-style instrumental music, the band developed into a full rock, blues and r & b unit as the Beatles-led British invasion conquered the world. These ultra-rare recordings are straight instrumentals and feature the band's 1964 line-up. Beau Midgley went on to record - as Beau and later, John Trevor - for John Peel’s Dandelion label in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s. Both Beau and John Trevor are mp3.com artists - be sure to check them out. For the full Raiders story, visit the band’s own website (click on the "Go to the artist's web site" link just across the way!). |
