Artist description
Society Falling is a dark, haunting look into the sometimes retrogressive nature of modern society. The acts latest release, The Story of L is due out in April of 2001. This unique and daring experiement takes you on a trip through the mind of a ten-year-old autistic boy in the 1930's. The boy was tortured by the numbers, formulas and musical masterpieces that became a part of his everyday existance.Desparate to become "a normal boy", he pretends not to understand anything his mother or his doctors teach him. He plays dumb. All the while, he begins to pick up small nuances in the way people relate to each other and mentally puts them into practice. He discovers, however, that "normal people" also have a dark side. This album is based on his reaction to these findings. |

Artist History
John Silver (Society Falling) has been a drummer for 16 years and a pianist for 10. Starting off as a drummer in his church, John came up against some resistance to ideas regarding philosophy and content musically. There is a solid, underlying spirituality in his music. However, don't expect glossed-over results that make the world out to be something it's not. Some of the most accurate descriptions of this act are "hauntingly emotional" and "rooted in spirituality" as well as "incredibly rythmatic" and "moving". Society Falling is a completely different side to John's usual repertoire. "It was scary at one point" says one friend and fan " I thought he had lost his mind". And perhaps he has but he's loving every minute of it. |
