Artist History
Michael “MONTAGE” Owens, an Atlanta-based producer/singer/artist, is carving a niche in the music industry. With a devoted “cyber” following, MONTAGE has finally taken his craft to the streets. In his new self released CD, “sEPTETs,” MONTAGE teases listeners with “carefully” clumsy beats, electronically sewn together with sickly vocals. His songs are powered by ethereal chord progressions and space-aged ear candy. His ability to create ragged rhythms with mellow tones is uncanny. “I try to make my beats rough around the edges but with a smooth core, “ said Owens. Each song of sEPTETs seems to develop its own mind by oozing from the speakers. Together they formulate a hypnotizing blend of musical mood swings.” Psychedelic, “ said Rick Rithmire, Engineer for “The Lighthouse” Recording Studio, and guitarist for AXIS, after listening to “Runaway.”MONTAGE’S motley blend of bittersweet sounds will captivate the ears and minds of many.
