Artist description Drakkus is an up-and-coming heavy metal band out of Northern Minnesota deriving roots from speed and thrash metal greats such as Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Slayer, Anthrax & more. Drakkus also takes heavy influence from black and death metal such as Children of Bodom, Emperor, Kovenant, In Flames, At The Gates, and more. Founded by rhythm guitarist and vocalist Brandon Romundstad, Drakkus was formed in the fall/winter of '97. The band has taken many shapes & forms, but have just recently been finding out who they really are, and what they were put on this earth to do...and that is to write the best heavy metal anyone's ever heard.Unpredictable, melodic, heavy, fast, somber, creative, abrasive, are all words you could use to describe Drakkus. Drakkus "Pushes It To The Redline...& Then Goes Further" with their tenacity and dedication to music. Keep a close eye on this band, as it will not be the LAST you hear of them.
