Artist History The question has always been asked to the boys of 2 St. Thomas, "What does the name mean?". The name has an amazing historic meaning and background, that it would be almost impossible to describe in words on this fan site. However, the band feels it wouldn't be fair for their fans to not know a bit of the vast history that lies behind the name. The band previously had a few different names that they went under. They were quite frustrated with the names and thus began their journey in searching for the right name. However, it was a search for not just any name. Their objective was to discover a name that bared meaning and great significance...something that they could identify with. And so it was Adrian who when asked by other relatives if they had any luck in finding a name, said jokingly, "yeah 2 St. Thomas!". Still, you are all probably asking what the name means. In the group's hometown, lies a historic street named St. Thomas. The street has an historic house dating back to the 1800s. More importantly though, is the house built on 2 St. Thomas. This house is the house where Jamie's, Adrian's and Angelo's granparents instilled music in the family. It was here that their grandparents raised 7 children, 23 grandchildren and not to mention many great grandchildren. It was at this address that generations of their family started to play music. But it was the boys who listened, studied, practiced and performed for many here on 2 St. Thomas Street. It was the boys that took the music to a higher level and thusly made their family proud! The name became very popular within the city and identified with many who had lived or experienced life on 2 St. Thomas. The 100 year old house hosted many family gatherings and was a stage for the guys to perform and display the talent carried over from generation to generation. The tall, old and rundown, redbrick house no longer stands on 2 St. Thomas Street. It was demolished in 1999.
