Artist History
Tracy Mack began writing when she was very young, but it wasn't until 10 years ago, while teaching herself guitar, that she discovered her love of song writing. Some of her earlier influences include Fleetwood Mac, The Charlie Daniels Band, Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt, and Melissa Etheridge. After five years of writing songs, she began performing at prestigious open mics around Michigan, including The Ark in Ann Arbor, and The Drowsy Parrot in Saline. A riveting performance at The Tap Room in Ypsilanti, Michigan landed her a regular headline gig. While vacationing in L.A. in 1998, an open mic performance resulted in an invitation to headline at The Crooked Bar on Sunset Blvd. In 1998 Tracy assembled The Tracy Mack Band to flush-out the sweet smooth sound that had made her a local favorite. Backed by some of the best musicians in Ann Arbor, Tracy fused blues, rock and folk into a mix that travels the same roads as Chrisse Hynde, and Melissa Etheridge. Now performing all over Michigan, The Tracy Mack Band has garnered a steady following. The raw energy of the music, Tracy's guitar playing and her soulful, edgy voice have put The Tracy Mack Band on the map. And it brings Tracy Mack smack-dab in the middle of the spotlight, which is right where she belongs. |

Press Reviews
"Raw and Soulful" Current Magazine"Tracy Mack is part blue-eyed soul, part blues and part old-fashioned rock and roll in a style that thankfully, doesn't reek of anything generic. This is real music, served straight with no chaser"Jason MichaelBetween the lines |
