Artist description
We're a six-piece band with a fat, rhythmic sound. We play a combination of original blues and jazz tunes and covers that we consider classics. We are six blue collar musicians that have been in bands in Salt Lake City for the past twenty years (with the possible exception of our 23 year old drummer). We're The Laughing Man, and it isn't funny. |

Artist History
The Laughing Man is a J.D. Salinger short story-read it. We first jammed together Memorial Day weekend 2000 in some dude's backyard. Since then, we have had a few personnel changes, and now The Laughing Man functions like a fine piece of machinery. We have enjoyed playing at several clubs here in town, as well as a few outdoor shows. Still a new band, we're trying to get established on the scene here, and we thank our friends and the venues that have supported our band. |
