Artist description
Don's reputation for hand-picking musicians and stretching them well beyond their imaginings "on the job" is apparent in the Southern Fried Jazz Band. Under his direction, the band's reputation quickly spread throughout the Piedmont foothills. It has performed for many notables including Ronald Reagan on both his visits to Charlotte as President, and for ex-President Jimmy Carter. It also performed in a Hallmark made-for-TV movie called "Best Friends for Life" which was filmed in the Carolinas. |
