Shelley Jacobson, with co-writer Barry Drew have their Country Christmas Sampler CD as a free download for a limited time at mp3.com."We decided to make the download free over the Christmas Holidays so that people can have access to them," Jacobson said.The songs Santa Kiss, It's Christmas Baby and It's That Christmas Magic were written by the duo for the OPP Santa Claus Parade last month. The first two songs are getting rotation from KIXX, while It's That Special Christmas Magic is now in the top 11 on the MP3 New Country Music charts.It was a privilege to be asked to help out in the parade, and if I was asked to do it again, I'd for sure do it," she said. "When Barry and I were first asked to do the songs, we laughed. We had about three week to do it but it all came together."She said working with Drew was great - there was good chemistry between the two songwriters and they were able to bounce ideas off of each other in a very productive manner. They produced all three songs in her home studio.Jacobson, who has been in music for as long as she can remember, is with the Songwriters Association of Canada."I'm really dedicated to the study of the craft of songwriting, and so is Barry" she said. "Songwriting is an outlet. If you can't talk about something you can always write it down in music."
