Artist description
Mike writes and plays acoustic based music dealing with many issues and aspects of life from a Christian perspective. The first CD, "Wise As A Serpent, Harmless As A Dove" deals with several" sacred cows" of our society, and with humor and insight shows how lame they are. "I want people, especially Christians, to think about these things instead of just swallowing what our culture spoon-feeds us. There are issues inside and outside the church that are left unquestioned by too many of us which influence us whether we are aware of it or not." |

Artist History
I've been involved in Christian music for over 25 years, doing mostly covers by other artists. Before that, when I was in high school, I played in rock bands like millions of other guys, but it never really went anywhere.I began writing my own songs about 15 years ago, with much prodding from some good friends. The CD "Wise As A Serpent,Harmless As A Dove" was recorded on the Calvary Chapel Music label. Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, California, pastored by Chuck Smith, is the creator of that label. I criss-crossed the country three times over a two year period, accompanied by my wife Nancy, playing churches, coffeehouses and festivals. I've been privileged to go to Scotland and Germany where I've sang on the streets and given concerts. Currently we live in Indiana where I am on staff part time as a worship leader at Harvest Fellowship of Leo, Indiana. I continue to play out as opportunities and invitations arise |
