Artist History The Life of Maurice is as diverse as his poetic style. He was born in Las Vegas, Nevada but grew up in Denver, Colorado. When he was 15 years old his father passed away after having a sudden massive heart attack. Being young and the only male in a family of females, he had to learn how to deal with the pain of losing the only man he looked up to while fulfilling the role of father figure for his little sisters. Poetry was the only way he had to deal with the stress.
