Artist description
John Swank is a guitarist/vocalist from Myrtle Beach, SC. For over a decade and a half, he has worked in the most successful venues in the second largest resort town in the Eastern US. John Swank has performed all kinds of engagements, from concerts to nightclubs to bars, blues and R&R/R&B, big band to solo acoustic. He has averaged an incredible 400+ jobs a year over the past 15 years, including a 13-year houseband engagement at 2001, the largest and most successful nightclub in Myrtle Beach, and many years performing with the Beachcombers at THE Myrtle Beach pool party, Sands Ocean Club’s Ocean Annies. |

Artist History
In 1995 John's band, TKO, received the SC Entertainers of the Year Award from the Governor of SC. Multi-platinum Hootie and the Blowfish were the next winners. John has released several CDs, and has had original material receive airplay in the R&B/Blues/Beach Music market. John's experience includes performing in Spain, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Korea, Japan, Hawaii, Orlando, New York City, Nashville, and Puerto Rico. In the fall of 2000, John took his music to Negril, Jamaica, London, England, and Paris, France. |
