Artist History
in 1999 m pemulis and the foremulator attended a 'vibrations from the edge of sanity' label night at the hope and anchor in islington, north london. featuring plastic hip, kaito, gravel, and hofman, it was an epiphanological experience, and rejuvenated their jaded buds. staggering back along the road to damascus (well, the caledonian road up to archway), they resolved to pay their dues to the gods of apres-gardiste pop moderne. first they got really pissed though. then they went and bought the cheapest four-track, sampler and effects rack they could find, and set about creating their own take on idiot-savant semi-popular music in a basement in southwark.<P>the resulting recordings, christened 'the howling fantods sessions', are now, through the miracle of the foremulator buying an imac, being made available on the web in the mp3 format. we hope you enjoy them. |
