Press Reviews
"There is a reason the name Digital Machete sounds suspiciously close to the dnb giant Machete. The music they produce is genuine, but close to the 404, TB303 burns that Machete is known for. Interesting notes pop up all over the place with digital Machete, as they claim their own ground, being supremely dnb, and nothing else. At least they don’t categorize it anything else. But we here in the Land of Phrygia Music Appreciation and Artist Recollection Board will attest to the crossing of genres as committed by Digital Machete. A ringing of Antedeluvian Rocking Horse comes to mind, basically through the use of male vocals to separate the breaks in between the gradual flow of the track. This isn’t too brutal on your speakers, but it does get the floor to creak. Try their other tracks, because this one is a bit tame for the Digital Machete sound."--Integrated Arts VIII http://stations.mp3s.com/stations/142/integrated_arts_viii.html |
