Artist History
Endless Mike is a fun-loving bunch of get-away sketch artists, hailing from northeast Connecticut. Ben plays guitar and sings, Cee plays bass and sings, and their cuddly, redheaded drummer Andy adds humor and tightlipped grins. The trio is well known to involve themselves in prankish behavior to pass the time, so their brand of music comes as no surprise: They play punk music, and they play it well. Forming from a mutual friendship, the trio began playing in the early months of 1997, and played their first show in June of that same year. Since then, Endless Mike self-released an eight song demo cassette in 1998, followed by the six song Stoggy Hollow EP in 1999, with over a thousand in circulation and still selling. Most recently, the trio just put out it's third offering, a CD-EP entitled "Nothing's Ever Going to Be the Same...", on Artful Dodger Records. Their songs are currently receiving airplay on various college and commercial radio stations, and the band even did a live performance on WECS 90.1FM, the Eastern Connecticut State University station. Endless Mike has been featured on compilations for Jon Doe Records (TX), Lil' Punx Records (Canada), and Skratch Magazine (CA), which also featured bands such as: Goldfinger, Snapcase, and the Ultimate Fakebook. Endless Mike is well known for it's energetic and often unpredictable live shows. They have played shows in seven states and shared the stage with such notable acts as Unwritten Law, Spring Heeled Jack USA, Ten Foot Pole, The Planet Smashers, The Blue Meanies, Shades Apart, Dovetail Joint, The Groovie Ghoulies, Ann Beretta, The Mr. T. Experience, The Ataris, The Toasters, Cooter, Pollen, The Urge, Goldfinger, River City High, Weston, Dashboard Confessional, and Midtown. Endless Mike is currently in search of a record label to back them on future endeavors, including a tour of the US this summer, and a long awaited full length. |

Press Reviews
Endless Mike Jump-Starts Night at the FiresideBy Than DurginCairn Staff Writer On the chalkboard, one or more of the members of Endless Mike had written "Game Plan", which was underlined, with this list extending below it: "Don’t suck, make fans and friends, sell merch, give free stuff to Lluvia, set the place on fire (rape and pillage), leave without Scotty." "I went through all that with you guys and you’re going to leave without me?" Scotty said, noticing the last item on the list. Scotty does the merchandising for the band, and the "all that" he’s referring to is a tour of four shows in four different states from Pennsylvania to Vermont.Endless Mike, if you’re up on your Nickelodeon trivia, was the bully from Pete and Pete, a short- lived but fun show. The band got started "three and a half years ago, at a gay strip club in Boston," Adam Charbonneau said jokingly. And thus set the fun and games scene that appears to be Endless Mike’s lifestyle. Endless Mike consists of Adam on bass, Andy Daros on drums, and Ben Dominguez lead vocals/guitar, not to mention Scotty on merch. These guys are older than they look, Adam surprised me when he said he was 24. When they took the stage of the FIreside Cafe on Sunday, Nov. 5, they did it with the cool confidence of old pros: a bit of entertaining repartie followed by blasting punk-rock energy. And they had the honor of opening for the Toasters, demi-godfathers of ska in the U.S. It all began when the drummer of Adam and Ben’s first band decided to go off and become a doctor. They were attending Manchester Community College in North Eastern Connecticut at the time, and there they met Andy. "Yes I’m the whipping boy," Andy proclaimed. I then watched them lock Ben out of the room as he went to move the van. They had a "runner," a noble activities board student who donated his time to help make the band feel comfy. Their only response to such luxury was: "We’re still feeling guilty that we’re making somebody do stuff." He got them sodas and paper. They thanked him on stage, as well as their gracious host, Castleton State College. Their stage presence seemed to be a cross between Weezer and Green Day. As I sat with Buck from the Toasters, he pointed out how much Adam looked like one of the guys from Oasis. The tuft of blonde above Ben’s forehead, tinted red beneath the stage lights, accentuated that ‘young rock star’ feel. When they began their set, the crowd’s applause was more than the polite clapping that a typical warm-up band will get, and there was an awful lot of wiggling in place going on in the crowd. They advertised CD’s for sale, and invited everyone to visit www.endlessmike.com. They were confident and smooth - and for a band named after a failed Nick sitcom, they seemed to really know their sh*t. Back in the interview room, Adam explains: "We’re a punk-rock outfit." Then Scotty gives me the recipe for an "Armstrong," which involves vodka, tangerine Kool-Aid, and ice. Ben’s a big fan of Sinatra, but the band is by their own admission mainly influenced by Green Day, Jawbreaker, Fifteen and Midtown. They’ve played with Goldfinger, the Ataris, the Mr. T Experience, Groovie Ghoulies and Weston. Sunday, they opened for the Toasters, and they were great. |
